Formation Center for Discernment (Centrum Formacji do Rozeznawania – CFR), which is rooted in the tradition of the Catholic Church, has several sources. The ideas that guide us are close to St. Vincent Pallotti, who already 200 hundred years ago promoted that anyone can be an apostle.
At the same time, it is the Pallottine formation community, which has been operating in Ołtarzew for 100 years, that has become the meeting place for the CFR team. Events dedicated to four target groups – young adults, young married couples, young priests, and parish councils – are held here.
Formation Center for Discernment is a project that grew out of and is formally associated with the Institute of Catholic Church Statistics. This organization, which conducts research on Polish Catholicism, also initiated the project “Listening. Discernment. Mission. A handbook for revitalising the parish.”
The key issue of synodality, understood as sharing responsibility and involvement of both lay people and clergy in the affairs of the Church is also close to our hearts.
